About Me

Marina Tai

I’m a San Francisco based Product Designer with a background in Veterinary Medicine and Scientific Research. My inquisitive mind, a long-standing love for the humanities and arts, along with a strong drive to help has led me to design.

Having lived in four distinct parts of the world, I take on a multitude of perspectives, leveraging a range of analytical and creative skills to provide thoughtful experiences to a broad range of humans (and non-humans). I believe that approaching problems in more holistic ways yield better solutions. I’m passionate about the collective strength of people contributing their unique views to create positive social change.

Community outreach efforts and rehabilitating wildlife in Brazil (especially giant anteaters) were one of the most meaningful things I’d done. When not fussing around design, you can find me veganizing recipes whilst speaking Portuguese with my cats.

Everyone has a baggage that informs their thinking and life ideas.
The time I spent as a Wildlife Researcher helped me become a more analytical and empathetic designer.
